5 *More* Museums I Want to Visit

This week’s Wanderlust Wednesday is five more museums I want to visit!  To see the original 5, click here.  There are so many amazing museums to visit all over this world, and even though I have these lists, I always find little obscure places as well, when I LOVE!  But today it’s all about 5 museums that I’m dying to visit!

The Van Gogh Museum

Amsterdam, Netherlands

I am dying to visit this famous museum.  I have heard from many of my friends that this is an incredible museum and that you can watch Van Gogh’s style change from room to room.  I would love to spend an afternoon exploring the world of Van Gogh.

Andy Warhol Museum

Pittsburg, Pennsylvania

I have had a love for Andy Warhol for a very long time.  I am so intrigued by this man’s life.  His philosophy (The Philosophy of Andy Warhol: From A to B and Back Again), his art, his mindset, his lifestyle and even his many flaws. I would love to go through this museum.  I always get incredibly excited when I see a work of his, and I would just go crazy in here, I think!

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities

Cairo, Egypt

Egyptian History is something that I have always been in love with.  Archaeology and culture are great fascinations of mine (hence, my degree in anthropology), and Egypt is a huge must-see for archaeology lovers!  This is filled with treasures found in sites and mummified Egyptians… Count me in!

Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia

Madrid, Spain

Spain is on my list of places to visit for many reasons, but this art museum in Madrid is an added bonus!  This is another museum that has come highly recommended by friends.  I hope to stand in front of Picasso’s Guernica very soon!

Tate Modern

London, United Kingdom

The Tate Modern is a must-see for me.  I can’t picture a trip to London without visiting this museum based on experiencing in other modern art museums and the amazing things that I’ve heard about this beautiful museum.

What museums do you want to visit?  Have you visited any of these?  Worth the hype?

I went to the one in Egypt in 1989, I was 12. It was amazing seeing all the mummies.
La Specola Museo in Florence Italy is old and a little dindgy but it was fascinating seeing medical and biology exhibits. And so many taxidermy animals from around the world from small birds to lions. They also have an amazing rock collection.

That sounds like a really interesting museum. I went to the Museo Galileo in Florence, and it was really interesting. You should check it out if you haven’t yet… It had a lot of the tools he created and used, a lot of very old maps and globes, and a really interesting section on medicine and surgeries. (They sound a bit similar.) The next time I’m in Florence I’ll have to check out La Specola Museo for sure! thanks for the tip!
