Acadia National Park- Camping and The Atlantic Ocean - For the Love of Wanderlust
Acadia National Park was one of my must-see destinations on our road trip! My dad went last fall, and brought home some really beautiful photos and I knew I had to go! When we got there we stopped in at the Visitor’s Center. I was a little disappointed because my dad had done the Precipice Hike in October and I wanted to do that hike so badly, but unfortunately it was closed for peregrine falcon nesting. I was a little heart-broken, but that’s what I get for not really researching the the park. We decided to drive through part of the loop and stop at the Seal Harbor to walk on the ocean before going to setup our campsite. Our first view of the ocean Seal Harbor We stayed at the Blackwoods Campgound in Acadia. It was a really nice campsite with running water and bathrooms. It was really quiet and each campsite had its own picnic table it was really nice! Also, the campsites here are incredibly affordable! That’s cheaper than some KOAs I’ve been to- only $20 a night!
