The Art Institute of Chicago

One of the highlights of this trip for me was the Chicago Art Institute. We were a little apprehensive about paying $17 each (and that was with the student discount!) We originally went on a Thursday night- we misread the website thinking that Thursday was free to everyone- that’s only for Illinois residents. So we left and didn’t go Thursday because it was incredibly busy. I’m really glad that Zach thought of coming back the next day because it was packed that night.

We were both overwhelmed by the amount of amazing artwork in there. We spent 3.5 or 4 hours in the Art Institute and didn’t even see half of the artwork. It was really incredible. There were a lot of really famous works of art, and some amazing lesser known works also. There was a really impressive Picasso exhibit going on as well. This is something I would highly recommend and it is worth the money. Here are some of my favorite works of art.
