Söderköping, Sweden - For the Love of Wanderlust
The original mission when visiting Söderköping was plain and simple: eat copious amounts delicious, decadent ice cream. Don’t worry, we did that, but then we spent time together. It was down to my last 48 hours in Sweden. I could feel the month abroad coming to an end. So, Liz, Lina, Sofi (my new friend and Swedsih soul sister) and I walked and talked, cherishing the moments, through the cozy streets of this 16th century town. Like I said, our main mission was to eat ice cream at a specific shop that everyone I met in Norrköping kept talking about (Smultronstället). This wasn’t your typical two-scoops-of-chocolate kind of ice cream shop. They had a massive menu with pictures of the most amazing looking combinations of flavors, fruits, chocolates… basically anything delicious you could think of and a little bit more. Lina’s amazing parents took us and shared in this ice cream moment, along with dear, sweet Sofi! After enjoying waaaay too much ice cream, Lina’s parents went back to Norrköping leaving us to explore this cute town on the Göta Canal.
