Wanderlust Wednesday-AFAR Magazine

Happy Wednesday to all!  I hope everyone had a great week!  This week’s edition of Wanderlust Wednesday is dedicated to the travel magazine AFAR.

I’ve been purchasing these magazines on and off for a little over a year, and I save every issue that I buy because I have gone back and referenced them many times.  I knew I was going to be in love with these magazines when I opened the magazine and on the first page of the Table of Contents it says

“Experimental Travel connects you with the authentic essence of a place and its people, deepening your understanding of the world, its cultures, and yourself.”

AFAR magazine is filled with some of the most inspiring travel writing and photography I’ve ever seen.  It’s well worth the $4.99.  I love the articles and they have them for all different kinds of travelers.  For those who are into backpacking, eating your way across countries, and anything else you can think of.  They’re really amazing and I’m hoping to pull more from them in my blog because it’s GREAT advice!

They have some “segments” they do every month, and my favorite one is called “The Mix”.  They pick a topic like Clock Towers, School Lunches or Earrings and they take pictures of this topic around the world.  I thought I’d share some of my favorite examples of these:

I hope everyone will think about picking up this wonderful magazine at their local bookstore because it truly inspires wanderlust and is worth it.  I’ll try to post some of their articles from time to time on Wanderlust Wednesdays.

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to know what magazines you guys read that help to inspire travel.
