I went to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty just after Christmas, and since I was getting ready to embark on my own adventure (that, and my general obsession with travel) I was really inspired by this film. I just got back earlier this week even more inspired, and decided to watch this again to do a post about and I cried- literally. The tagline in the photo above says it all- “Stop dreaming, start living“. I was so inspired by every part of this movie. Not only are there amazingly beautiful shots of Iceland and the Himalayas, but the story is one that everyone, on some level and for whatever personal reason, wishes they could do. Walter Mitty has a really vivid imagination, but finds that he’s never realized any of these daydreams. He had always wanted to travel right after high school, and didn’t get the chance to. However, due to a work situation Walter decides to drop everything and take off to find a photographer, and ends up finding himself.
