2019 was not a huge travel year for us, which has been an interesting change of pace for me, especially since the 5 years before this were pretty stocked with adventures. That said, we – and especially I – were still able to take a good amount of adventures, all things considered. This was a rough year for my family. I lost my grandpa, two great-aunts and a cousin all after being diagnosed with various forms of cancer this year. It was a very emotionally draining year and kept us here in Missouri. 2019 was also a year of settling into a new stage in life that feels a bit more settled and because we were putting down some pretty serious roots, we spent a lot of the year cultivating those roots.
