Back in 2015, Paige went on a three month backpacking trip through Southeast Asia while I stayed home working my day job in retail, where I frequently found myself daydreaming about traveling to countries I’d never visited. Thailand always fascinated me from the photos and stories Paige would share. I had Thailand Wanderlust. So, I felt so pumped up when Paige and I finally booked a one-way ticket to Bangkok for September 2017.
We originally planned to only spend a month in Thailand during our backpacking trip, but we both loved it so much that we ended up coming back to Thailand two more times before the end of 2017. There is just so much to love there – beautiful temples, incredible mountains and beaches, amazing people, and delicious food. If you ever find yourself planning a trip to Southeast Asia, Thailand has to be on your list. Here are some photos from some of my favorite experiences and memories from our time in Thailand that just might convince you to buy your own ticket there someday.

January 19, 2018 at 5:53 pmI have only been to Thailand a couple of times. The popular areas are intense and hard to get a feel for – even if you get up early. But there are some parts of the city which are really quite special and worth exploring and which are off the beaten track.

January 20, 2018 at 12:57 pmWhat a great photo essay. I haven’t been to Thailand and your pictures DO make me want to visit. But, my ultimate favourite is ‘Swapping photos on our tuk-tuk street food adventure’ which just makes me laugh!

January 21, 2018 at 5:51 amStunning images – they took me back to Thai Buddhist temples in Bangkok and Kanchanaburi. It reminded me that I am yet to visit Chiang Mai – it has been on the wishlist for a long time. There is something endearing about Thailand that comes out so beautifully in your photographs.

January 21, 2018 at 1:08 pmGorgeous photos. Those beach shots — especially that palm tree right on the shore — give me serious Thailand nostalgia. I spent a month there five years ago and unfortunately lost all my photos when I dropped my camera in a river, but these bring back memories!

January 21, 2018 at 2:26 pmThese pictures, gave me wanderlust for Thailand all over again – It’s been a few years since I traveled through Thailand and I’d love to go back somebody – In-fact it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been in South East Asia – Maybe it’s time to go back to that side of the world haha. What was your favourite part of Thailand? For me Changmai and Koi Samui where my faves

January 21, 2018 at 3:42 pmGosh, I love this! I think I took something like 8,000 photos in Thailand, but seeing this makes me miss it all over again. The view from D Hostel looks fabulous. Never even heard of it. And you certainly made it to more places than I did. Well, I plan to be back before the end of the year. Looking forward to revisiting those places.

January 22, 2018 at 11:33 amLoved your Tuk Tuk Picture. So I went to Thailand and loved it but your pics remind me that I really need to go back. I missed out on seeing the temple ruins of Ayutthaya and the White Temple of Chiang Rai. Also, I have never heard of Kanchanaburi. What a great find.

January 23, 2018 at 4:29 pmI definitely have Thailand wanderlust! I personally love the cultural photographs, of temples like Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, of Wat Pho, though you’ve captured the street scenes of Thailand perfectly! Love the shot of the Tuk Tuk ride! Also very excited to head of Thailand for the nature now after having seen your photos – the sheer amount of waterfalls is incredible, and I love your glowing shot of the Milky way – how beautiful!
Thanks for sharing your favorite photos!
