Today, after I got out of class I changed clothes, walked my pup, and Joel and I went to Busiek State Forest, which is a little less than a 30 minute drive from my apartment. It’s in the middle of the rolling, tree-covered, Ozarks hills and I was so happy to be in the woods for a couple hours. We took one of the trails that crossed a little river, went through the woods and we saw some beautiful wildflowers. There’s even this little cemetery from the 1800’s in there. It’s definitely worth the small trip and it was great to have an evening in the outdoors.
