Horseshoe Bend Overlook

While we were in Havasu Canyon, this girl told us about Horseshoe Bend Overlook in Page, Arizona. Since we were going to be in Page we decided to go early in the morning. There is a small sign on the highway that tells you where to park. (The parking lot is only a few miles south of Page). Once you park it’s about a 3/4 of a mile walk each way. It’s an easy walk, but through sand, which can be hard on ankles, but it’s something I would recommend for all ages. The overlooks allows you to see the Colorado River flow from the right to the left around the bend in the Glen Canyon. It was a beautiful site, and absolutely free!

It was really amazing! We were gone 8 days total:
      1- driving day
      2- Seligman
      3- Havasu Canyon
      4- Havasu Canyon
      5- Havasu Canyon/Driving Day
6- Page (Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend Overlook- then we drove through Monument Valley)
      7- Moab
      8- Driving Day

We spent less time in Moab, really only wanting to drive the Shafer Trail, but there are a million things to stop and see along the way. I would like to go back to Monument Valley and actually hike around the area. Plus, you guys are a bit closer in Dallas than I am in Missouri, so your driving days could have more sight-seeing in them! I hope this is helpful!
