I’ve Seen Dusty Roads + I’ve Met Vagabonds + I’ve Had A Wanderlust

Every so often something inspires you. Something challenges you and pushes you, and you can’t get the idea of it out of your head until you just do it! I’ve been thinking of making videos for this site, but I’ve been really nervous because it is something that I’ve never attempted to do before, but then I started listening to THIS ALBUM on repeat while Matt and I drove & hiked in the mountains, and felt so inspired to take this next step.

My dear friend Chris is a singer/songwriter here in Asheville and his band [The Wilhelm Brothers] has a song on their latest album called ‘Diamond Cutter’ that truly inspired me. The song includes the above lines, “I’ve seen dusty roads. I’ve met vagabonds. I’ve had a wanderlust.” Hearing the word wanderlust was what finally did it… I made my very first video.

Locations: Pisgah National Forest, Whitewater Falls, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Frying Pan Tower, Mt. Mitchell State Park, Crabtree Falls & Looking Glass Falls.

I want to say a huge thank you to The Wilhelm Brothers for letting me use their song, to Chris Wilhelm for writing this amazingly inspiring album [especially Diamond Cutter, haha], and to Matt for listening to my giddiness about making this video and taking all these wonderful adventures with me ALL OVER the Blue Ridge Mountains.
