Ke'e Beach - Kauai, Hawaii - For the Love of Wanderlust
Ke’e Beach was our beach in Kaua’i. It wasn’t the beach we were closest to, but it was the one we visited most. We were here 5 out of the 7 days we were on the island. The drive from Princeville isn’t long in terms of miles, but it’s extremely windy and you have to go over multiple one-way bridges so it’s very important to be alert on this drive, and therefore takes about 30 minutes. Luckily, there’s no need to look at your phone or GPS because you literally stay on this road until it ends and then you arrive at Ha’ena State Park and Ke’e Beach. You can see waves crashing further down Ke’e Beach, but the water here is actually quite still because of the reef that creates a barrier against the often rough north shore. This makes this beach really great for swimming and beach-bumming! My personal favorite thing about this beach, though, is the way that the Na Pali Coast seems to emerge out of the horizon.
