Kings Canyon National Park, California

Kings Canyon is essentially on the back side of Sequoia National Park. When driving up from LA you have to go through Sequoia National Park to get to it, which I’m glad was the case, because it was absolutely beautiful!

The views on the drive down the canyon is really incredible. The roads were crazy windy and could be a little scary, but the stunning scenery out my window kept me distracted from being car sick.

We stopped in the visitor center and asked a ranger which hike to do. He suggested doing the hike to mist falls. It was about 10 miles round trip and followed the river. You see many small falls on the hike up, walk through amazing trees and up part of the canyon. Mist Falls was absolutely beautiful and Michael and I hiked to the top of them and laid/relaxed. It was really incredible.

We took a little different route back, and it was really great to see more of the park! It was absolutely spectacular! I want to go back and spend more time in the lakes area.
