On our way to Liechtenstein we passed through farmlands and saw a pretty incredible moonrise over the Alps. However, Liechtenstein was pretty much a drive-through stop for us.
We stopped, got our passport stamped, saw the castle from below (the prince was home because the flag was flying). It wasn’t really a destination or anything, but we passed through on our way to Switzerland, and made a bit of a stop out of it!

June 20, 2014 at 1:49 amIn all fairness the country is tiny so I’m not surprised it was just a pit stop for photos!
I did a great big road trip coveting lots of West /central Europe but never had our en route, which I’m a bit gutted about as I find micro nations slightly fascinating!
Get to Monaco next – that’s a bizarre tiny place!

June 28, 2014 at 12:00 pmI think they’re fascinating too! I bet that road trip was really incredible! I wish it was a tiny bit easier/cheaper to get over there from the states 😉
I’ve heard good things about Monaco! Have you been to Andorra? It’s a micro country I really want to visit!
