Lucerne, Switzerland- The Rosengart Collection, Churches and More - For the Love of Wanderlust
Not only did we spend a lot of time walking around the beautiful streets of Lucerne and taking in the beautiful Lion of Lucerne but we also went in churches and- my favorite part– visited The Rosengart Collection. Our first stop was the Jesuit Church. This beautiful church was consecrated in 1677 although it wasn’t officially completed until over 200 years later. When we ventured inside we were thrilled to find a woman practicing violin for a performance later in the week. She was playing this beautiful Jewish music and she was so talented. It totally made the experience. After the Jesuit Church we found our way to The Rosengart Collection. It was pretty incredible. Besides the incredible exhibits, I really loved the act of going through an art museum with my mother. The last time we did that I was 17, and I’ve learned so much about art and have grown to appreciate it so much more since then. It was such an amazing experience to walk through with her and actually discuss the art. The collection includes dozens upon dozens of works by Picasso and Paul Klee.
