The Bloch Building- Kansas City, Missouri

This last weekend Zach and I went up to the Kansas City area to meet his parents.  We spent a lot of time with family and friends, but we made time to go to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, well, more specifically the Bloch building.  Admission to the Nelson-Atkins and the Bloch Building is free, with the exception of certain special exhibits.

The Bloch building is an addition to the museum that was made in 2007 and contains the Contemporary Art, African Art, Photography and special exhibits.  One of the special exhibits while we were there was Bonjour, Picasso!  It had a lot of interesting photography of Picasso working and playing as well as some works of art.  I just wanted to share some pictures of some of the art.

I’m hoping next time I’ll be able to go through the old Nelson-Atkins building!  If any of you guys are ever in the Kansas City, Missouri area, I think it would definitely be worth the stop!
