Vermont- Montpelier and More - For the Love of Wanderlust
Vermont comes from the two French words vert (green) and mont (mountain), and I can’t think of two words that more perfectly describe this state. Vermont is one of those places that you pass into and you’re instantly calmed and relaxed. You can’t help it, it’s so tranquil and peaceful. Zach decided to go off the interstate for a while and we got “lost” in the green mountains. We came up on this beautiful lake with only one person there fishing. We were setting up our camera to take a picture of us with the lake, and the man came up to us and took the picture for us. We continued down these small winding roads until we finally met up with highway again. We stopped in Montpelier, the nation’s smallest capital, for a walk around town and dinner. We looked in every used bookstore in the city, picking up a few good finds, and just walked around the downtown. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming.
