Wanderlust Wednesday: Movies That Inspire Travel- Part 10

I have been reliving part of my childhood by rereading the Harry Potter books and then watching the movies with my friend Kathryn, and besides loving every minute of it, I realized just how many amazing locations in the U.K. are shown in these movies!  So, this week’s Wanderlust Wednesday is the Harry Potter movie series!

Many of the locations in England are various spots in London, locations in Oxford, near Bath, and Durham.  However, the locations aren’t limited to England there are also locations in Wales and Scotland.  I looked up a bunch of the different locations on Pinterest and thought I would share some photos of the locations.

Alnwick Castle

How interesting… I’ve only recently watched my first entire Harry Potter film. They have always have seemed “out of this world” so it’s great to consider where they have been shot in the real world. I remember seeing that viaduct in one of them and yes, I would be inspired by the film to go there.

I know what you mean. It’s the same with Star Wars and films like that. It’s really cool to think that these “magical places” are real! This world is amazing! I’m jealous that you’ve been to Scotland! I’m hoping to make it there in the next couple of years! Thanks for reading and commenting!
