This week’s Wanderlust Wednesday is all about travel quotes! In Part 1 I shared 5 travel quotes that I love, and I’ve been researching more and found 5 new ones that I wrote on the inside of my travel journal to prepare myself for Italy! (I leave the day after tomorrow!!!) So, here are five more quotes that inspire travel:
“We are torn between a nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, we are homesick most for the places we have never known.” -Carson McCullers-
“Without new experiences, something inside of us sleeps. The sleeper must awaken.”
-Frank Gerbert-
“Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.”
-Jack Kerouac
“We travel to learn, and I have never been to any country where they did not do something better than we do it, think some thoughts better than we think, catch some inspiration from heights above our own.”
-Maria Mitchell-
“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights, it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent in the ideas of being.”
-Miriam Beard-
There you have it! Five more quotes that inspire travel! I hope everyone is having a great week, and if any of you guys have some travel quotes you’ve read or heard I would love to hear them! Thanks for reading!

April 30, 2012 at 8:28 amI know, there isn’t anything like it that I’ve ever experienced. I have never craved anything like I crave being on the road or walking through a strange city. It always gives me comfort to hear from others who feel it’s important as well! Thanks for reading and commenting!

April 30, 2012 at 10:39 amI guess the only thing I crave more is feeling the presence of God…but in truth I feel more of his presence walking out in nature than in the most beautiful cathedral!
