Wanderlust Wednesday- St. Augustine, Florida

Hello, all! I hope everyone is having a really awesome Christmas and getting to spend time with their families and friends! Can you believe only a few days remain in this year.

Crazy enough it’s only a little over a week until my Winter Road Trip (only 9 days!) and this week’s destination on the Wanderlust Wednesday countdown is St. Augustine, Florida! It’s another location that I’ve just recently added to the list of destinations! I’m so excited to get to explore all of these new places, and I’m always looking for tips in these places, so, if you have any suggestions be sure to let me know! Here are some photos of St. Augustine that I found on Pinterest for some inspiration!

Hi! Thanks for liking my post!

St. Aug. is a great city! I hope that you have fun.

    Some tips:

    1) Dinner at Harry’s – after dark. Just ask any local, “where is Harry’s?” Ask for an outdoor seat (dress warm if it is chilly) – but the dinner is by firelight from torches and little twinkly Christmas lights, and live music if they have it. It is a very romantic setting, and one of the best in town.

    2) Lunch at the Milltop Tavern – on the second floor balcony, in the treetops – overlooking the fort. Black bean nachos – yum! But the best is the view with a beer.

    3) Another lunch or dinner at the Conch House – ask a local. Ask for a little private teeki hut on the water – at the very far end, away from the crowds.

    4) Drive from St. Augustine along A1A – head south. Once you go through the area surrounding St. Augustine, you will reach Mantanzas inlet, and the drive all the way south past that is gorgeous, and the last remaining one like it in Florida.

    Have fun! 🙂
