Wanderlust Wednesday- Travel Goals for 2012 Update

I’m a bit late on Wanderlust Wednesday, this week with the holidays, but here’s the last Wanderlust Wednesday of 2012, and I wanted to finish off with an update of my travel goals I set at the very beginning of the year.

My goals were to:

  • Leave the country this year
  • Visit a state I haven’t been to before
  • Eat at 3 restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
  • Take a Father/Daughter hiking trip
  • Not miss a single Wanderlust Wednesday post
  • Do an entire post in French
  • Inspire someone to travel

I did a pretty darn good job, actually. I did all but one, maybe two.

  • Although I didn’t make it to a new country this year, I did get to leave the country and go back to Canada, which I love.

  • I went to a state that I’ve never visited before, and this year on my road trip with my dad, we went to Nevada and checked that off my list of states I’ve been to.

  • I ate at Iron Barley and Sweetie Pies in St. Louis, and I went to Smokin’ Guns in Kansas City!

  • Not miss a single Wanderlust Wednesday: this completes one per week!
  • I didn’t do a post in French, but that’ll be on the list for next year!
  • As far as inspiring travel, I’m hoping that I did. I got my dad to want to go to Olympic with the photos that I posted on here, and I’m going to claim it as inspiration!

I’m really excited to set my goals for next year, and I have some things that I’m excited to do this next year. I cannot wait!
