While driving along the Romantic Road in Germany, there’s a city called Steingaden in the foothills of the Alps. As you drive out of the town, there’s this stunning church sitting in a field. Literally, in the middle of a field- this is a view from the doorway:
As if the outside isn’t beautiful in itself, the inside is stunning with its bright, unique frescoes and gold accents:
If you’re driving down the Romantic Road be sure to stop at this gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is no entrance fee, although they do ask for a donation to help with maintenance. It’s definitely worth taking a look into!
