It is not only the beautiful and stunning flower farm that attracts visitors from all the corners of the world but also the breezy fresh air from the mountains of Cebu. This is also called the Little Amsterdam because the flowers are so captivating and eye-catching. Cebu Taoist Temple

Is it your first sojourn in Cebu City? If so, you must go to the Cebu Taoist Temple, where you can rest and admire the city at the same time. This place is magical in its own way, and you will come to this realization at the first glance. The Cebu Taoist Temple is quite big, consisting of several buildings and it has a Buddhist influence as well. Stunning views added to calmness create an extremely different but a cosy ambience. I suggest you visit in morning hours to get the truly tranquil experience.

This is one of the must-visits- even if it is for a short time you should head towards the magnificent café that has gone viral on social media because of the 10,000 artificial LED roses it has standing in Dayas Barangay road. This is a perfect night time destination for a couple to enjoy a wonderful dinner, where roses are lit up beneath the sun setting sky. The delicious food of the café enhances the brilliance of the place! If only this had been here when I was there… Next time, right?

Kawasan Falls is famous for its perfectly blue waters. If you’re an adventure seeker this is a must-visit in Cebu. Be sure to get there early before the big crowds arrive and swim in refreshing waters to your heart’s content just for very little cost. There are canyoneering and cliff jumping excursions available here as well. So, if you are into thrilling activities make sure to try them out. You can also try out diving as there are many diving points in the Kawasan Falls.

Osmena Peak is the highest point in Cebu and therefore, it is the go-to place to get a good view of Cebu Island. There is an incredible viewpoint where one could catch a stunning 360-degree scenery stretching over thousands of kilometres of Cebu Island. As the people are keen on witnessing beautiful sunrise views, dawn hours are a bit crowded. But the journey is worth it. The hike to the summit only takes like 30 minutes. So, it is suitable for people of all ages, even for small kids.

Pescador Island

Pescador Island, located in the Western Coat of Cebu is where fishermen have fished since the colonial era, and this became the reason why the island was named Pescador, meaning ‘fisherman‘. This island is rich in marine life and is a great place for water-related activities. You can try snorkeling, diving or just swimming in the waters of Pescador Island. Here you can view the turtles and colorful fish among the lively corals.

Simala Church

On a hill in the village of Lindogon, a proudly standing castle-like Simala Church can be seen. The statue of the Virgin Mary here is considered miraculous as it shed tears once! You will find her clothes at the museum in the next part of the church. As you enter the Simala Church, you can see many letters that are believed to be written by the Virgin Mary. Walk through it and enter the second chamber, which is one of the highlights and in here you will also get the chance to write letters to the Virgin Mary.

Tumalog Falls

Take a few hours drive to Oslob to enjoy Tumalog Falls. This trickle-flowing waterfall with cool and aqua blue waters is sure to mesmerize you. The pool is very much shallow as it will remain only at knee-deep or thigh-high even under the falls. This makes it a great spot to sit and relax and bring your kiddos. Fish here will give you the famous fish pedicure for free! Although the road to the falls is a bit challenging, it is well worth the visit. You can also arrange for a motor-biking tour to the falls to reach the falls faster or do like we did and walk the super steep road.

Temple of Leah

This temple is located on a hill, so at the top, you can see incredible views of the Cebu City. This is believed as a tribute to unconditional love between businessman Teodorico Adarna and his wife, who sadly passed away in 2012, that only comes in Greek mythology. You will have to climb grand stairs to the Temple of Leah. While climbing, make sure you look at the massive brass angel figures on either side. The mansion you see here boosts a library, an art gallery and a museum as well.

If these 10 sites don’t prove that there are all kinds of things to see on the island of Cebu, and in all different varieties or experiences, I don’t know what will! Cebu is absolutely an island worth exploring and finding some new things in this post make me even more excited for a return visit!
