Touring one of the gorgeously, ornate cemeteries in New Orleans is something that I have been wanting to do since my first visit here in 2009. When we were trying to plan which tour to take and looked at many different options. We looked at finding a free tour and going on our own, but we found a brochure for Historic New Orleans Tours, Inc. It was a really good tour. The adult admission was $20 for adults ($15 for students). While we weren’t incredibly thrilled about the tour guide, as far as personality, but he gave us a lot of information about the tombs, the families within the tombs, and we got to see Marie Laveau the voodoo queen’s tomb! So, I am still very glad that we did take the tour. I thought I would just simply share the eerie, beautiful tombs from St. Louis Cemetery No. 1:
