From Rhine Falls, Switzerland to Heidelberg, Germany we passed through all of these quaint towns, beautiful country roads into the Black Forest… I’m a little disappointed that we weren’t there later in spring so it would have been even more lush, but it was still really pretty.
We stopped in the middle of the Black Forest to have lunch at this little hotel, and we also got to see a demonstration on how cuckoo clocks are made. He showed us the individual parts of the cuckoo clocks and how they evolved over time. Then, of course, there were tons of clocks for sale, however, it was totally worth stopping in to learn a little something about the way these gorgeous clocks have been made for almost 400 years in the place they originated.
