Well, it’s official; I’m on the road again, and this time for a month! I just graduated form college and decided to reward myself with a month-long road trip through the Southeast, a portion of the United States, that I haven’t spent a lot of time in! I’ll be traveling through twelve states, meeting a blogging friend in person, exploring new National Parks, going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, swimming with manatees and SO MUCH MORE!
I’ve been preparing and having an absolute blast pouring over maps, getting road trip snacks prepared, my bag packed and getting my car loaded up! I’m so glad to finally be on the road!
I wanted to take a minute to thank all of my loved ones! My friends and family have been so supportive and generous by helping me with the preparations preparations for this trip! They all gave me travel-related Christmas gifts or gift cards for restaurants, picked small things up for me here or there, and saved cans for me to recycle to help fund this trip. My parents deserve and extra-big THANK YOU! They have helped me so much! My mom has helped me prepare and pack, they helped me out paying for my groceries to get me started, they’re watching my dog for the next month, and my dad picked up a GoPro Camera for me to use on this trip! I’m so fortunate and grateful to have all of these amazing people in my life who support me and my love for travel! Also, thank you to all of the people who are letting me stay with them, and a huge thank you to Stacey and my Aunt Debbie for flying to meet me for a few days on this trip! It’s going to be great!
I’ll be uploading photos from the road on my Instagram @fortheloveofwanderlust and on my blog’s Facebook Page. I would love to have you guys follow along with me!

January 4, 2014 at 10:49 amLooks fun – I like travelling almost as much as being home. Enjoy the southeast – when I lived in Alabama, we never went to the Carolinas, or really anything N or E of Florida, so that will be a blast to see anything from there.

January 30, 2014 at 8:04 pmI love traveling MORE than being home! Haha However, I think living in different places makes things better. North Carolina is actually one of my new favorite places and I didn’t even know that there was a lot to see!
